　　This time, we CFA China Shanghai are very honored to have Mr. Carl Wegner, Managing Director and Head of Asia of R3, one of the largest blockchain companies in the financial industry that works with a network of over 200 banks, financial institutions, regulators and partners to share his thought on “Blockchain Development, Application and the Future in China” in below aspects:

　　Carl Wegner

　　Managing Director and Head of Asia of R3

　　Prior to R3, Carl was Managing Director and Head of Global Transaction Banking, Greater China at Deutsche Bank. He was also EVP and Shanghai Branch Manager. Before that, he was Managing Director of Transaction Banking for Standard Chartered Bank in Taiwan. Carl has over 30 years of experience in banking and financial services in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He was formerly Chief Representative of technology firm TradeCard in China. Carl has a B.S. in both Chinese Language and Chinese history from Georgetown University, has held the post of Treasurer of the American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan and was a former Board Director at the Taipei American School.
